In 1983, Brock Adamson began creating sound reinforcement products that would open the ears and eyes of audio engineers and designers around the world. He envisioned a method of reproducing sound which, even at extremely high levels, would retain the integrity of the original waveform and preserve the subtleties of symmetry, coherency and intelligibility – nuances most often lost in translation.
Over the next two decades, Adamson's continued pursuit for sonic excellence led to a number of important patents in key loudspeaker technologies being published. From those patented principles emerged complex sound chambers, highly engineered drivers, and innovative rigging and cabinet designs that have set new standards throughout the world.
Brock Adamson 's passion for sound has driven the evolution of Adamson Systems Engineering from a small speaker shop to a company invested in its own factory, with a broad engineering base and a wide range of computer controlled manufacturing machinery. Now Adamson is recognized as one of the most progressive manufacturer of loudspeaker systems in the industry.
Presently, Brock Adamson continues spearheading the engineering department with new sophisticated ideas and continues advancing Adamson's manufacturing facilities with automation and high-tech machinery. An expansion of the facilities is also in near future plans.
A FEW WORDS ABOUT BROCK ADAMSON'S BODY OF WORK:
From Adamson pioneered multi-layer Kevlar cone technology, to the remarkable multiple patent bearing 'Co-Linear Drive Module' and the patented AIR™ captured flying hardware system, Adamson is dedicated to innovation and taking acoustic research to the next level.
Our highly regarded Y-Axis true line source arrays unite our expertise in wave-shaping sound chamber technology with sophisticated driver designs, derived from the highest modulus materials in use in the industry. Top grade materials such as Baltic Birch, heavy gauge steel, lightweight Neodymium and Kevlar are just a few of the raw materials that get treated, shaped, machined and painted in-house, making an Adamson speaker enclosure stand out from the competition. Featuring easy-to-use precision rigging systems and the most predictive and robust array design tools available, our line arrays deliver extreme output, exceptional coverage and unrivaled accuracy and coherency.
The T-21 Sub, the industry leader of woofer designs, offers a superior extension to the Y-Axis Line; it features 6000W of continuous power handling. It features two (multiple patents pending) SD21- 21” Neodymium Kevlar drivers which introduce Brock Adamson's double spider, dual coil design. Y-Axis Series
Adamson's compact and ultra compact Line Source arrays, the SpekTrix, 3-way, 5° and 15° enclosure series complemented by a dual 18” convertible cardioid sub, and the Metrix 2-way, 5° and 15° enclosure series paired with the award winning dual 15” convertible cardioid sub extension, deliver superior output and coherency compared to any other comparably sized line source array in the market.
The patented AIR™ rigging found in both SpekTrix and Metrix Series, offer simple solutions for smaller companies, as both systems can be rigged by a single person. SpekTrix and Metrix systems are ideal as stand-alone main systems, and for use as various fill enclosures with the Y-Axis series. The ultra compact Metrix-i Series debuts the EIR™ rigging system designed specifically with the permanent installation market in mind. SpekTrix & Metrix Series
Adamson also offers a collection of conventional loudspeakers and multi-purpose monitors designed to satisfy the widest variety of applications. Our range of high-power Kevlar/Neodymium drivers which combine the best materials and outstanding performance are now available in virtually all Adamson products.
