Marc Ecko's Getting Up Festival was held on August 13th and 14th. To date it was the largest hip-hop lifestyle and culture event held in Canada, taking place on three stages at The Polson Pier and The Docks Nightclub in Toronto.

Swiss based rental company, LIVESOUND B AG, has become an Adamson European rental pool partner with the purchase of 24 x Y18, 16 x Y10, 16 x SpekTrix and a planned November delivery of 12 units of the Adamson T-21 subwoofer. Livesound, founded in 1976 by Werner Christen and Thomas Gfeller, has grown to become one of the most important production companies in the European, and Swiss, pro audio industry.

rocks Les Vieilles Charrues Festival

Les Vieilles Charrues Festival took place in the heart of Brittany, in the town of Carhaix between July 22nd & July 24th. The Festival was established 14 years ago as a small volunteer-led community project and has since grown to be one of the largest music events in Europe, attracting over 180 000 spectators over the three day event.

Olympic Island Festival in Toronto, Canada

The Olympic Island Festival takes place in late June on Toronto Island, across the Toronto harbour on Lake Ontario. It is a one day event featuring a variety of the “off the beaten path” or “indie heroes” of Toronto’s thriving downtown scene. This year the festival showcased Broken Social Scene, Metric, Do Make Say Think with special guests Modest Mouse as headliners.
